Description

André Bénéteau launched this design in 1973 - the first cruising yacht of any size produced by his company. She was a long-keeled, wheelhouse motorsailer and was, in some ways, ahead of her time.

The wheelhouse contained a large U-shaped dining area to starboard facing a reasonably sized galley and an internal steering position forward of the galley. A refrigerator is positioned under the helm seat – Salon’s dinette table can serve as chart table. Forward, down a couple of steps, was a second dining table with a large head compartment opposite. Both the dining tables dropped down to form double bunks. Forward is a large V-berth. To port just aft of the V-berth is a hanging locker and just aft is the enclosed head compartment with sink and marine head. There is 6’ headroom throughout. The wheelhouse has lots of natural light and even more is provided by a sliding skylight.
